Young writes and produces multimedia, high-impact web reports and videos that highlight the work being done by ICFJ Knight International Journalism Fellows. Before coming to ICFJ, she worked as a freelance writer and producer for network television clients including CBS News and MSNBC. Young also worked as a news writer and online producer for The Associated Press, and served as a Congressional Journalism Fellow and later as press secretary to U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu. Previously she was an award-winning reporter for WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge, La. She has a B.A. in mass communications from Louisiana State University.
